Program attendance mode and type:

External mode only. Part-time only.

Program of study:

The program of study involves coursework to a total of 24 Units of Credit (4 courses worth 6 Units of Credit each, two courses every semester). It may normally be completed in at least one year of part-time attendance. Additional fees are required for those wishing to take more than the standard number of courses for the award of a certificate.

This is a distance education program run in-line with current practices in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Regular communication and interaction with the students will be maintained through, e-mail, fax, telephone and WebCT Vista.

Information Technology Requirements for students:

Students are expected to have their own personal computer or have an access to one to ensure regular communication between the lecturers and other students during the program. Access to UNSW facilities will be provided.
